PARENT INFORMATION


Dear Parents,

Following is a list of important information that will be helpful for you and your child. Please read it carefully.

This year’s Workshop Performance is scheduled at Cuyahoga Falls High School Auditorium on Saturday, May 17, 2025. Rehearsal is 11:00am-approximately 3:00pm. More information to follow by email. 

  • Tuition is due in the FIRST class of each month. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged for payments received after the 10th of each month and for every fifteen days thereafter.

  • Please do not post-date checks.

  • There is a $35.00 fee for returned checks.

  • If your student needs to withdraw from, or change to another class, please notify the teacher. TUITION IS DUE UNTIL WE RECEIVE NOTIFICATION.

    • Please remind your child to use the restroom before each class, especially pre-schoolers.

    • Parent/guest viewing is the FIRST class of each month.

    • Colored leotard day is the LAST class of every month in the community school.

    • Make-up classes are available for missed classes. Please check with your teacher for an appropriate class time.

    • Students should have neatly groomed hair and attire appropriate for their class. Please refer to school Dress Code. Drawstrings should be tied, trimmed and tucked into shoes.

    • No jewelry except small post earrings

    • No chewing gum in the studio.

    • Please put names on all shoes and apparel. “Lost and Found” is located in the girl’s dressing room.

    • Street shoes are not to be worn on the dance floors.

    • We reserve the right to cancel class if enrollment is less than 6 students.

    • Parents are to drop off students in the front of the building and pick up at the end of class in the back of the building. Exceptions will be new students or children under 8.  Those parents may wait in the lobby during class times. Drop off no more than 10 minutes before and pick-up immediately following class. Students not picked up within 10 minutes after class will be charged a late fee of $25.00.

    • Siblings at the studio must be supervised at all times. Please attend to your children.

    • Snow Days: Snow days will be announced by email before noon of that day. Please do not assume if they do not have school they will not have dance class as roads generally improve in the afternoon. Classes cancelled due to inclement weather will not receive refunds or be rescheduled but you may make it up in another class. Please ask your teacher for a suggested class.

    • No food, drink or gum is permitted in the studio. Bottled water only.

    • Turn off all cell phones while in the studio classroom. Do not make or receive any calls while class is in session.

    • Important information is sent to each parent by email. Please be sure read these emails to stay updated on the latest information.

  • Parking, Drop Off or Pick-up

    Parents of dancers are to drop off in the front of the studio and pick up in the back of the studio with the exception of new students or children under 8 years old. For pick-up, please enter the back alley from North Haven Blvd. and exit north towards Phelps Ave. This will alleviate traffic jams in keeping traffic flow the same direction.

    Please do not block the parking lots of our neighbors.

    When our parking lot is full our patrons have permission to park across the street at Acme grocery store.

PERFORMING EXPERIENCE

Performing opportunities give students the chance to further develop their artistic and technical skills. Excellence in Dance presents an annual student Workshop with student choreography opportunities. Ballet Excel Ohio has an annual March performance and many other performance opportunities throughout the year.
